1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Legal Recorder's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using our services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. Description of Service

Legal Recorder provides audio recording, storage, and AI-powered transcription services designed for legal professionals. Our services include web and mobile applications, cloud storage, and related features as described on our website.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use our services. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Record conversations without proper consent where required by law
• Use our services for any illegal purpose
• Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise our systems
• Share your account credentials with unauthorized users
• Exceed the usage limits of your subscription plan
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our source code

5. Content Ownership

You retain all rights to your recordings and transcripts. By using our services, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide and improve our services. We do not use your content to train AI models for other purposes.

6. Subscription and Payment

Our services are offered on a subscription basis. You agree to pay all fees associated with your subscription plan. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Prices may change with 30 days' notice.

7. Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day free trial for new users. If you are not satisfied within the first 30 days of a paid subscription, you may request a full refund. After 30 days, refunds are provided at our discretion.

8. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice. We are not liable for service interruptions beyond our control.

9. Data Protection

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data. Our data practices are described in our Privacy Policy. For EU customers, we act as a data processor under GDPR.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Legal Recorder's liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Legal Recorder against claims arising from your use of our services, your content, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate service with 30 days' notice. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for violation of these terms. Upon termination, you have 30 days to export your data.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Amsterdam, unless consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms with 30 days' notice for material changes. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
